Yes Dear

Yes Dear
I'm Still Here Dear

Yes Dear
We're Growing Old

Yes Dear
You Have My Ear Dear

Yes Dear
I'm Still Your Beau

Yes Dear
I Still Remember Dear

Through The Years Dear
As We've Grown Old

No Dear
Your Not Too Old Dear

Remember Dear I'll Still Be Here

Yes Dear
I Still Remain Sincere

Yes Dear
Your Still "My Hope"

Dead Uncles - Dream

The Young Man Ran After His Uncle
Trying To Gain The Answer

"Is It True Uncle?"
"Is It True?"

His Uncle Sat On the Curb
His Wrestlers Shorts Bagging Up Around His Legs

"They Say You Have Died"

His Uncle Stared Up At Him
He Looked Around As If Surveying The LandScape With Newfound Eyes

"I'd Like To Think There Is 'More' To Life"

With That Statement The Spectre Of His Dead Uncle Faded From View
His Uncle Was Dead
And Remained So

Container Of My Soul

The Turmoil Is Good
For The Poetry But
            Bad For My Sanity

Freezing
            Nightmares
                        NightSweats
This Is Your Life

My Fragile Self
Withering So
These Words Spill Forth
From The Cracked And Leaking
Container Of My Soul

by Brian Ashkin

Here is another song called "Give Me Some The Loving"session with the band. very intense unique guitar and lead work here. please do have a listen and remember to contribute to my being able to continue posting my original poetry and songs

House In The Burbs - Nightmare

It Was A Dream
He'd Found Himself
Back At The House
The Big One In The Burbs

The Large Back Yard
Everything
Even The Fruit Trees
Like Yesterday

He'd Bitten Into The Rippened Plum
Only Today...
There Were Worms...

Not In The Plum
But All Over His Body

Wiggling And Climbing
Making Their Way
Toward His Heart
Toward His Face

He Picked and He Pulled
He Cursed the Memories

His Family Had lived There

Not That The Memories Were All Bad
They Were Just....

So Full Of Worms...
Eating At The Fondness Of The Memories

Abigail Soon Must Fail

There are things I need to say

Abigail soon must fail

There are worlds I have to show you
There are things you have to see...

Abigail soon must fail

There are nights you have to dream me
There are dreams you have to be..

Abigail soon must fail

There are worlds beyond this being
There are places have to be...

Abigail soon must fail

There are beings I can see them
There are things they say to me

Abigail soon must fail

These beings
They try consume  me
These things
They see through me

Abigail soon must fail

Abigail
She fail to save me
Abigail
This must be

Abigail soon must fail

Abigail
She failed one evening
Abigail
She fall round me

Abigail soon must fail

Abigail
She fail one evening
Abigail
She fall round me...

Abigail soon must fail

Abigail
She fail one evening
Abigal
Their dead you see...

Abigail soon must fail
Abigail soon must fail
Abigal soon must fail....

Boa And The Barge - Nightmare

His Passage Through The Jungle Was Frought With Peril
Especially At The Lake Crossing

The Crossing Barge

He Got upon The Barge And Pushed Off
Almost blind To The Snakes

The Giant Rattlers Hung Down Unto The Water
Their Heads Held Low And Close

His Heart Raced
Pounded As He Tried To Maintain A Healthy distance
From Each Of The Predators Lurch

"This Is No Life" he thought

The Terror, The Fear
This Was Not The Way He Had Wished To Live

The Fat One Entered The Water
And Swam Below The Barge

Nothing Happened
Though His Heart Wasn't Fooled

As He Came Closer To The end
Appearing Ahead Was A Crushingly Large Boa
"Or Was It A Python" he had thought

No Matter

It's Gaze Never Left Him
Locked And Ready To Run

He Knew Then This Wasn't A Good Idea
A Boa That Size Could Probably Take Him From The Barge
Take Him Below The Surface

Would He Drown
Or Be Crushed First

Madness Defined

Madness
Defined

In Your Mind

Sadness
Defined

Your One Of A Kind

Happiness I Bet
Comes To You In Times Of Threat

The Threat Of Fear
Is Always Near

The Threat Of Fear
Is Always Near

Stupidity Defined
Your Cupid Heart

Broken At Every Start
Smashed To Smithereens
By Little Girl Dreams
Cracked And Leaking
By Those Sneaking Little Fools
Who Would Have Your Head
In Their Tabloid News

Sincerety Extolled
Your Aching Soul

For When You Pledged Your Love
You Did So Like the Dove
That Trusts it's Master's Hand
Not To Crush the Brittle Band of Bones
That Begged The Wind To Bring It Home

So I Say Madness Is In Your Mind
Happens To You EveryTime

So Find Your Place Among This Group
The Leader, The Follower, The Fool.

And Learn Your Lessons As They Come
For Time Is Spent And Then It's Gone

excerpt from unfinished novel "The Boat Is Gone"

he had only wanted to care,
to be cared about.
to love,
to be loved,
she wore no makeup,
no clorification of the face,
yet she was so beautiful in her honesty.
so feminine in her speech and body movements.
he felt the blackhole swirling close,
she was dragging him into loving her and never even suspected it.
this was the girl meant to be his wife.

Isn't That What Life Is

Waiting To Die?

Are You Waiting To Die?

I Want To Haunt You

I Want To Haunt You
Haunt Your Memories
Haunt Your Daytime Activities

I Want To Haunt You
Because I'm A Ghost
A Ghost Of My Former Self

Spirit Of Desire
Fuel A Raging Fire
Burn Into The Heart
Of The Few Who Dare To Start

The Endless Circle of Our Fears
Rip The Many Tears

Of Continuity Of Time
Drink Up Your Wine

And You'll Find Me There
A Ghost Of My Former Self..

Fresh Water Crocks

There Is Always
A New Loss To Take
The Place Of The Last New Pain
As It Fades From View..

Until Finally I Suppose There Will
Be A Loss Of The Words Themself.

When I Lose "The Poetry"
Then The "Final" Loss
Will Be Complete

And Perhaps
I Will Be Finally Allowed
To Sleep Without The Nightmares

And Speaking Of Nightmares

Have Your Ever Gone Biking
Around A Lake?
Only To Get Trapped In The Mud

To Gaze Out Into The Clear Water So Close
Only To Realize You've Stubbled Upon
The "Crock Family Values"

"Fresh Water Crocks" What A Surprise!
"I Am Surrounded"

"Say Your Goodbyes"

Essence Of Femininity

Like Flowers Blowing
In The Wind
Their petals Fluttering
Fighting To Maintain Stability
Just Resistance, No Force,
No Offense, No Fight

Just The Delicate Survival
Just The Fragrance
Passing

This Is The Brasilian Girl
As I Know Her

Essence Of Femininity
This Is The Female Spirit

The Flagrant Flower
Blowing In The Wind

Watch For Any Man
That Catches The Fragrant Flow

"Be Known" What "Feminity Is"

I Must Get Myself To Brasil"

Little Barking Dog

I'm A Little Barking Dog
I'm A Woofy
Woof Woof

I'm A Woofy
Woof Woof

I'm A Dog
I'm A Little Barking Dog
That Came Your Way

Infitesimal Life With Nothing To Say

Your Chased Me
Kicked Me
Put Me Down

And What You Did
Brought Not A Frown

Your An Alpha
A Leader
A Sure Lost Friend
For What You Did Brought
My End

Thank Your Sir May I Have Another
For Your Pleasure I Have A Brother

My Usually Lonely Shadow

I Looked Upon My Walking Shadow
And There Were Two

This Was A Strange Occurrance

My Usually Lonely Shadow
Was Now Locked In Embrace
With One Of Equal Stature

Side By Side
One To One
No Longer Lonely

If I Could
I Would Have Taken A Picture

So As To Lock The Moment In Time
So I Could Always Remember
Clearly....

The Crow

I Hear The Crows
In The Distance

"This Town Is So Quiet"

If They Were To Attack
And Feed On My Bleeding Corpse
I Would Be Defenseless

I Pray They Stay Their Keep...

Struggle Of The Damned
See Them Suffering Where They Lay

In Pain

The Struggle Of The Damned

Yes I am
Said Sam

Struggle Of The Damned

Up hill
Up hill
Up hill
Tireing....

It's Not Supposed To Be This Way

It's Not Supposed To Be This Way
I Remember Things
Differently

Is This The Way
It Is Before The End

Tell Me About Things Unknown
Tell Me About How Things They Ought To Be

Is The World Blue
Where You Are Too?

Has The Grass Lost It's Sheen
Ever So Mean

Yes I Remember Things
Differently...

by Brian Ashkin

The Game

Look Out
I'm Coming
Watch Out
I'm Here

And I'm Ready To Fight
For What Is Mine For What Is Right

And I'm Ready To Battle
To Stride The Horse
To Take The Saddle
To Put My Strength
Behind My Convictions
To Place My Hopes Against
Your Addictions
To My Destruction

I'll Battle To The End
My Friend .. Be Aware
So Be Prepared
For Others Have Dared
And Found That I was Well Inspired

So Look Out
I'm Coming
Watch Out I'm Here..

You'll Remember My Name
Long After This Game..

by Brian Ashkin

Don't You Love Me Anymore

Don't You Love Me Anymore
Don't You Love Me Anymore

Here I Am Outside Your Door
Don't You Love Me Anymore?

Knocking, Biting, Kicking, Screaming
Don't You Love Me Anymore?

Snarling, Snaring, Scratching, Scaring
Don't You Love Me Anymore?

Bitch Open The Fucking Door!

Please Open The Door
That I Might See You

Open The Door
That I Might Be You

Don't Leave Me Here In The Rain
Don't Leave Me Here To Go Insane

Don't Leave Me Here In The Dark
Like The Child Who Has Lost His Classroom Star

Don't Leave Me Alone
For I Need You

Don't Leave Me Alone
For I Might Leave You
And Never Find My Way...

I Never Endeavor

I Never Heart Break
I Never Dream Make

I Never Knew You
I Never Screw You

I Never Endeavor
I Never Endeavor
I Never Endeavor

I Weep
I Weep For You
The People In Whose Eyes I See Myself

My Heart Bleeds For You
May God Have Mercy On You

Your Child Like
Your God Like

I Weep For The Children For Their Closeness To God
